About this project

A static recompilation of version 1.0.0 into a native Windows program. It boots to the file select, and a scripted run plays from the prologue through Cap Kingdom into Top-Hat Tower, up to Mario's first capture, with the game's own audio, its videos and a steady 60 fps. No release yet. Most of the code was written by AI agents (Claude) under the maintainer's direction.

What you need

Your own dump of Super Mario Odyssey version 1.0.0, Windows 10 or 11 and a Vulkan 1.3 graphics card. There's no download: you build it with LLVM/clang 9, the Visual Studio 2019 Build Tools and the Vulkan SDK.

Decompilation
About this project

A matching decompilation of version 1.0.0 that recreates the game's source code from scratch: 25.6% matched as of October 17, 2026, with tools to check the code against every version. The team says plainly that it won't produce a playable game; SMO Recomp is the one that runs.

What you need

No build to play. Contributors need version 1.0.0, dumped from their own copy.
